Welcome to Fobulicious, the nth reiteration of Louise’s blog! It certainly took long enough for me to get this thing going again. I couldn’t stand not having an outlet for my rants (no, Facebook does not suffice). You probably have a few questions…
What’s with the layout? What happened to your previous entries?
This is a temporary layout, until I feel like I should stop being lazy and actually modify it. Though isn’t it purrrrdy? =D I just don’t think it’s practical enough and doesn’t reflect the time of year one bit. But that’s okay. It’s just I’m being rebellious. Against uh… Mother Nature. Anyway, long story short, I’m still trying to access my old SQL databases (Lunarpages is being a bitch), so hopefully I can get my content back. If not, then, well…fresh start, I suppose.
Fobulicious = fobulous + delicious. Yea okay I’m delusional and uncreative. I desperately wanted a new domain so I didn’t really think about the name much. Leave me alone!
What about all your other sites (fanlisting, collectives)?
Why thanks for remembering! They’re gone for good. I don’t have the time to maintain those anymore. They were fun while they lasted, but ultimately really served no purpose other than to feed my ego.
So… what are you gonna do with all your storage space?
Host! If you’re looking for free hosting, look no further! Just drop me a line with some basic info on yourself (and your website of course) and I’ll probably host you because I have a crapload of unused webspace. You will get a crapload of webspace, bandwidth, a subdomain, email forwards, private FTP, script installations, PHP/MySQL/etc, and (the best part) yours truly as a hostess. All I ask is that your site be either very pretty, or have good content (bonus points if it’s both), and not be illegal/pornographic. Also you must not be a psycho. I’ll probably set up a more “formal” page on hosting info, but for now, a simple email will do.
How’s life been?
Since this is a blog, I suppose I should talk about how I’ve been doing. I started work about a month ago… pretty lame, yes, another bank job downtown. It’s actually quite funny because last term I worked at a commodities trading desk when oil was having its crazy volatility run, and now I’m working in Trading Credit during this credit crisis. So basically I’m always working with busy, short-tempered, and pissed-off bankers/traders. Thank you, co-op.
